Filipina Travel in Butterfly Garden
Filipina Travel in Butterfly Garden
Let me take you back to a trip that still lives rent-free in my heart, the kind of journey that didn’t just change my scenery… it changed me.
This was the trip where I:
✈️ Took my very first airplane ride, not solo, not scared, but laughing with my best friends beside me.
🚌 Survived the epic and slightly chaotic Cebu-to-Bohol land-and-sea odyssey complete with detours, ferry ride, and roadside and street breaks.
🌸 And finally… stepped into a living rainbow at the Bohol Butterfly Garden where time slowed, colors danced.
This wasn’t just a vacation.
This was my coming-of-age travel moment, messy, joyful, awe-filled, and utterly unforgettable.
Just a short drive from the famous Chocolate Hills, the Bohol Butterfly Garden is more than just an attraction, it’s a sanctuary. A living poem written in wings and sunlight.
As soon as we stepped inside, the air wrapped around us like a warm hug… and then flutter, flutter, flutter, butterflies. Floating like living confetti in every color imaginable, electric blue, sunset orange, emerald green, and wings so translucent they looked painted by fairies.
Not in a scary, “ahhh-get-it-off-me” way but gently. Curiously. Like they knew we were guests in their kingdom. We had them perched on our faces, hair, nose, shoulder, my friends capturing the moment like I’d just won an Oscar.
Why this trip lives in my soul? It wasn’t just the butterflies.
It was the firsts.
The freedom.
The friendship.
I remember standing in the garden, surrounded by wings, thinking
This trip taught me that magic doesn’t need special effects.
Sometimes, it’s just a first flight.
A long van ride with your favorite people.
And a garden where butterflies land on your shoulders like whispered blessings.
Bohol, you beautiful, winged wonder and thank you for giving me a memory I’ll carry forever.
And to my friends who were there? Let’s never stop chasing butterflies, literal and metaphorical.
The world is still full of them.
And we’re just getting started.
Girl Travel in Tagaytay
Girl Travel in Tagaytay
Third-wheeling through wedding venues with my high school bestie! A tale of Taal Views, cake tastings and accidentally becoming the ultimate wing-woman.
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been to Tagaytay.
Weekend escapes? Check.
Soul-searching over hot chocolate and bulalo? Double check.
Midnight drives chasing cheesy pasalubong? Oh, you know it.
Taking a rest while driving going to our relatives in Batangas? Many times!
But this trip? This trip was different.
This time, I wasn’t here for the views, the food, or even the Instagrammable clouds rolling over Taal Volcano.
I was here as the official third wheel, comfy shoes on feet, and heart full of chaotic joy helping my high school best friend and her fiancé scout the perfect wedding venue.
And spoiler alert, it was the most unexpectedly beautiful, hilarious, and heartwarming Tagaytay trip yet.
I got to see my best friend, the same girl I passed notes with in Math class and cried when we had to separate home room section, light up in a way I’ve never seen before. Not just happy. Radiant.
So yes, I’ve been to Tagaytay many times.
But this time? This time, I didn’t just visit.
I witnessed love being planned. Dreamed. Built.
And honestly?
I can’t wait to come back… as a guest. With better shoes. We’ll see.
Filipina Travel at Lazer Xtreme
Playing at Lazer Xtreme
Let’s be honest when you think “fun night out in Taguig,” you probably picture rooftop bars, fancy dinners, or maybe a Netflix binge at home. But me? I went full sci-fi warrior mode at Lazer Xtreme inside Market! Market!
And it was hands-down one of the most ridiculously fun, pulse-pounding, glow-stick-fueled experiences I’ve had in Manila.
Tucked inside the bustling corridors of Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City, Lazer Xtreme is a multi-level, futuristic arena bathed in UV lights, pumping EDM, and fog machines that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a cyberpunk video game.
You suit up in a high-tech vest that vibrates when you get hit, ouch, but thrilling, grab your phaser, and dive into a 20-minute mission to outshoot, outsmart, and outmaneuver your friends (or strangers, no mercy here).
But here’s the kicker, it’s not just about pulling the trigger. Strategy, stealth, and speed matter. Duck behind glowing pillars. Ambush from the upper deck. Fake left, go right. It’s tactical. It’s chaotic. It’s so much fun.
