Josephine Restaurant in Tagaytay

Josephine Restaurant in Tagaytay

Josephine Restaurant in Tagaytay overlooking the Taal Volcano and Taal Lake. One of my Tagaytay escapade with my friends from high school and their husband and boyfriend.

While we pose in the garden of Josephine Restaurant after my friend talked to the staff regarding reservation of the resto.

Taal View in Tagaytay

Girl Travel in Tagaytay

Third-wheeling through wedding venues with my high school bestie! A tale of Taal Views, cake tastings and accidentally becoming the ultimate wing-woman.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been to Tagaytay.

Weekend escapes? Check.
Soul-searching over hot chocolate and bulalo? Double check.
Midnight drives chasing cheesy pasalubong? Oh, you know it.
Taking a rest while driving going to our relatives in Batangas? Many  times!

But this trip? This trip was different.

This time, I wasn’t here for the views, the food, or even the Instagrammable clouds rolling over Taal Volcano.

I was here as the official third wheel, comfy shoes on feet, and heart full of chaotic joy helping my high school best friend and her fiancé scout the perfect wedding venue.

And spoiler alert, it was the most unexpectedly beautiful, hilarious, and heartwarming Tagaytay trip yet.

I got to see my best friend, the same girl I passed notes with in Math class and cried when we had to separate home room section, light up in a way I’ve never seen before. Not just happy. Radiant.

So yes, I’ve been to Tagaytay many times.

But this time? This time, I didn’t just visit.

I witnessed love being planned. Dreamed. Built.

And honestly?

I can’t wait to come back… as a guest. With better shoes. We’ll see.
