Baguio to La Union Travel

Promised to a friend that I would tour her to Baguio and La Union.

Instead of Marcos high way that is usually the road to Baguio, we passed Naguilian Road.

One of the stop over is Ben Cab Museum.

Not just art but saw a great nature scenery too.

And I had to show her the pine trees and fog of Camp John Hay, Baguio!

The next day, we went to warm place, Urbiztondo and Pebble Beach of La Union!

Bahay na Bato for more arts and nature.

I had to show her the famous grapes farm that is easy to spot from the highway.

My Nanay's beautiful garden and succulent plants.

Let her experienced the Ilocos food from Halo Halo de Iloko.

And go back home..

Halo Halo de Iloko

Halo Halo de Iloko

My cousin has a good friend from San Fernando near La Union's Best Halo Halo de Iloko. And she confirmed that they have the best halo halo in town.

After a long day from the beach, we came back to her friend's neighborhood to try Halo Halo de Iloko. The street reminded me of our neighborhood back in Makati but insert this famous halo halo resto. It was not yet Christmas but the old-style house was full of lights to accommodate its visitors at night.

We tried okoy with their famous home made sawsawan, I am not a fan of okoy but I love their version of this cuisine.

Aside from the food, you will enjoy the homey museum design of this place. If you like their sawsawan, they have vinegar for sale, same with honey, wine, peanut butter, sardines and kornik.
